BORED

Lord was visiting the museum of modern art in the city of Paris for the umpteenth time, he wanted to see Dufy’s Electric Fairy again … When suddenly, there is this man in a full jacket dragging his feet in the museum, as if chained to his briefcase . Lord follows him discreetly from room to room. This man is fascinating: he walks like a puppet, seeming to ignore the works that surround him!?! After a good quarter of an hour, Lord couldn’t stand it any longer: he took a picture of it. First from the back, then from the front and in profile. Returning home, without even having seen The Electric Fairy again, Lord frantically sets to work and creates several digital works from freshly taken pictures. He calls the one that occupies us “Bored” because this stranger seems terribly weighed down by boredom.
A few years go by. Lord is now resolutely turned towards post digital. Understand: redo his digital works with a human hand and non-digital techniques, thereby regaining his dignity in the face of the machine.
“Bored” is Lord Wilmore’s 130th post-digital work. It is entirely painted in acrylic on canvas.

Lord Wilmore, Belgian and multi-map artist, lives near Versailles. He graduated from the art school of
diffusion (IAD). He is a multi award-winning advertising director (in Cannes, New York, Portoroz, Warsaw, Florence …).Since May 2016, Lord Wilmore has exhibited in Ukraine, Corsica, Paris and Brussels, among others.
