The sculpture takes part in the 41st Youth Exhibition of the Moscow Union of Artists of Russia in Moscow, held from April 14 to April 29, 2021 at ArtCombinat, st. Perovskaya, 24 A
"Horsewoman of the Apocalypse" - personifies one of the biblical characters of the Revelation of John the Theologian - Death. On her chariot harnessed by four unbridled horses, she comes from the depths of the Underworld to this world, tearing the plane of the earth with a frantic leap.
The entire color solution of the composition immerses the viewer in the created image and enhances its emotional response. The sculpture creates around itself a fiery tense space of red color. White-hot heroes of the composition, plowing the earth scorched to blackness, erupt from the depths of hell.
Маргарита Симонова - I am equally proficient in sculpture and drawing, as well as academic painting, which is not typical for a professional sculptor. Therefore, my sculpture and painting are different from others. Being at the intersection of two areas of academic art and owning each of them, I see the world around me in different ways.
