BIOGRAPHY
ESTHER, PAINTER

I started painting with a spatula and acrylic on canvas in 1974. In 1980 I registered as an artisan working with clay. In 1982 I entered the Mauá School of Painting in POA-RS-Brazil. In 1983 I migrated to the Northeast of Brazil where I got in touch with Brazilian popular art, which would definitely change my view of art.

I met the painter RJP Vanderlei who influenced my artistic characteristics. I participated in the thirteenth Salão dos Novos in Olinda-PE_ Brazil, with figurative works with colored pencils on paper.

In 1991 I returned to POA-RS-Brasil (my hometown). I continued my studies as a self-taught person.

In 2000 I participated in the “V International Plastic Arts Salon of the Cultural Project SUR” with oil on canvas theme: Constructivism – geometric. My skills are special paintings (patinas, rust, textures, demolished, etc.) oil painting, such as spatulate, glaze, impasto, mixed technique and others. I developed a rustic mosaic made of ceramic leftovers, I have a project to reuse civil construction waste. I master the technique of watercolor. I took a course in Bauernmalerei and developed a style based on bauer. I spend a daily period at the Atelier studying and working. Creativity is my strength.

Three years ago I created a workshop for reusing wood, paper and cardboard. I left the oil painting aside because in Brazil it doesn’t sell and I don’t have more space to store it. Unfortunately, in this process, I lost many works, which with the rigor of winter in southern Brazil, molded and were discarded (works that I will never be able to reproduce).

I want to partner with reputable galleries to sell and open space for a new, more improved style. Thanks for the opportunity . Best regards Mercedes A S Fabre
